SR62 is a dedicated space saving AIS TDMA transmitter module that may fit for many ais applications. The transmitter has three different modes:
1. Standby mode
2. Idle mode
3. Transmission mode
During standby the transmitter is switched off to conserve power. Prior to
transmission the outer controller will “wake-up” the transmitter and put it in idle
mode in which most of the transmitter circuits are switched on and ready to transmit.
Just before the designated time slot occurs (determined by the outer processor) the
transmitter is switched on (PTT –on) and the AIS data that was fed to the transmitter module will modulate the transmitter. After the transmission, the module back to idle mode and under the control of outer processor back to standby mode to save power.

Power consumption: <3A when 12.5w transmitting.
<100mA when in idle mode ready to transmit.
0 when in stand by mode.
Transmit attack time: <0.3us
Interface: standard RS232 38400,n,8,1, CTS low indicate the module is ready to transmit, RTS low start the TDMA transmission.
Transmitted data input format: AIVDM sentence.
RF output power detection.
Optional transmit SWR detection.
Optional interface: GPS module
Optional functions: FDMA ais transmitter with optimized power saving design for battery power supply.
